Our Music

You will find that we love to worship! There is something that is very important to us in our worship – we want our worship, in all of its expressions, to please an audience of One – the Lord.

If you attend our services regularly, you will find we are committed to expressions of worship in music that are traditional and yet fresh. Over the years, God has given His Church a treasury of hymns to convey the rich theological truths of the Christian faith. In a day when churches are casting aside these hymns, we are committed to learning and celebrating the good hymns and songs God has so graciously given to His Church.

We are equally committed to learning and celebrating the new hymns and songs God is presently giving to His church. This is why when you come and worship with us, you will encounter the best of the traditional hymns as well as some of the new hymns that are part of God’s rich blessing to His people!

So, when you come in to worship, we invite you to join with us as we sing the rich hymns of the faith, old and new, in a way that honors God, reflects our heritage as a church, and refreshes our spirit before the Lord!

Our Preaching

Because the Bible is the inspired, infallible, sufficient, and authoritative word of God, it should be understood and obeyed by the Lord’s people. The best way to accomplish this in the corporate worship of the church is to preach through the Bible expositionally (Ezra 7:10; Neh. 8:8; Jer. 3:15; 2 Tim. 4:2). This is primarily done through sequential, verse by verse, exposition of books of the Bible, but can also be done through topical exposition (i.e. what the Bible says about any given topic).

Our Ministry Capacity

Our goal here at FBC is not to be big! We are actively evangelizing our community and regularly inviting people to attend our services, but numeric growth is not our goal. We firmly believe that the growth God is most concerned with is the spiritual growth of His people. Therefore we have established what we call a "ministry capacity" number which we believe best enables us to fulfill the goal of seeing people grow spiritually. This philosophy is foundational to our missions philosophy, building plans, and discipleship ministry.
